Thanks so much for being here! The Trad(ish) Wife is a blog where you’ll find all things motherhood, homesteading, and cooking the traditional way… ish.
This blog is where I share things I have been learning, cooking, and crafting as my family grows together during these little years- without the stress that the ‘crunchy’ mentality can sometimes bring.
My husband, Lucas, and I have two sweet girls and live in the beautiful Pineywoods of East Texas. We enjoy the beautiful (albeit warm) weather and are hopeful homesteaders in search of a little slice of land to call our own.
Come with us on our journey as we learn to live simply, appreciate the little moments, and of course have lots of fun along the way!
I love taking care of my family, learning new things, and using traditional skills. Things like cooking from scratch, sewing, and baking sourdough bread are how I spend a lot of my days; in between diaper changes and handing the toddler a snack.
While I love all things homemade, having small children and a busy schedule makes it difficult to source all organic, non GMO, farm fresh, screen free, BPA free what-have-yous. I refuse to let the widely popular crunchy mob rob me of my joy. Whether I am serving my family long-fermented sourdough or a popsicle that most definitely has food dyes in it, it is a privilege to serve my family as unto the Lord.
If that sounds like your style, follow along as I learn, grow, and serve my family the old fashioned way… ish.
